Experiencing manual experiences and understanding nature's time is to value the handmade.
The objective of this workshop is to experience two manual modeling techniques: the “pinch pot” or pinching technique, and the plate technique. In learning the "pinch pot" the student will learn to transform a simple clay ball into a small pot with just their own hands and will create a bowl or cup. In learning the plates, a technique that allows countless possibilities, the student will model a small plate from a clay plate opened with a roller. The proposal is for the student to experience these basic manual modeling processes, in a creative afternoon, outside of routine.
The class will begin with a conversation about the practice and stages of transforming clay into ceramics, and then the student will have contact with the material itself, kneading the clay and understanding the processes to be worked on in the Workshop._cc781905-5cde-3194 -bb3b-136bad5cf58d_
The teacher will demonstrate the techniques and present some creative possibilities, leading the student to develop their creativity and artistic ability, in contact with a material that allows us to experience patience, concentration, and feel time in a unique way...
From each of the techniques taught, the student will make two pieces that will complement each other, such as a cup and a saucer, for example, or a bowl and a small plate, which will then be burned and available for the student to pick up.
